I found a similar topic on this forum:, but the answer (using snetcfg.exe) does not work for me. I have to to this task on more than 150 computers under Windows XP Pro SP2 and if I use the 'snetcfg_winxp.exe' tool, the FPS check box still stays unchecked after running a enable command: Here is what I've tried: Enable command: snetcfg_winxp.exe -v -c S -i Ms_server Disable command (not recommanded): snetcfg_winxp.exe -u Ms_server Other option I tried was editing the registry (it seems to work but it is very dirty and unsafe to run it on 150 computers!): I found out that a very big key with a lot of mysterious digits is changed when you enable/disable the FPS checkbox. I also succeded opening the 'Network connexion/my connection/properties' panel with a powershell script, but then how can I check the damn box? I don't know if that is possible. So, could somebody tell me how I could enable that checkbox with a PowerShell script? Or any other solution than using the 'snetcfg' tool which does not work for me? Hi Customer, Based on my research and test, if you want to use Snetcfg.exe to 'File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks' ('File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks' already installed, but the checkbox is not checked), you will have to uninstall 'File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks' first, and then install again. This will make the checkbox checked.
