OCEANSIDE - A bus slammed into an overpass on the Southern State Parkway Sunday night, injuring dozens of high school students on their way home from a trip to Europe. Police say the impact sheared off the bus's roof and hospitalized the driver and 43 others. It happened around 9 p.m. In the eastbound lanes near Exit 18 for Eagle Avenue in Lakeview. The bus was carrying 38 passengers between 16 and 18 years old and five adult chaperones.
