Download Panasonic Firmware Hack G2
The famous CHDK firmware hacks now have a rival, at least if you are shooting with a Panasonic GH1, and especially if you are using the Micro Four Thirds camera to shoot video. The hack, called.
Vitaliy Kiselev has just released a new version of the GH2 hack, PTools v3.64d for the new Panasonic V1.11 firmware. The latest version of PTools also supports the GF2, adds more AVCHD related patches and brings improvements to certain existing GH2 patches. It is good to see Panasonic allowing further hacking and not battering down the hatches on their new firmware update. 1080/25p is still in a 1080i wrapper with the hack but bitrates can be increased, which is good news for PAL shooters. All the other patches are ported to the new firmware and should work. The latest firmware also includes enhanced noise reduction. It will take time for any new features of the hack to be developed since testers need to delve deeper into V1.11 – it is a continually evolving process of discovery.
It is yet again an interesting time for the GH2. White cruisematic lt 13 manual burn. Stay tuned for a hands-on look at the new hack.

The 3.66d version of PTool has been available since July 16 or 17. So the rumor site is a week and a half late in reporting it. For the GX1, mainly the higher video and audio bit rates are enabled in this release.
I have been shooting 1080P at 40Mbps plus without any issues. Also, all languages are enabled. Removal of 30 minute limit. PAL--NTSC (does not appear to be working, at least no menu item in my GX1) Max ISO limit removed.
Audio and Video compression (bit rate) GOP length Some microphone settings, especially AGC. Yes a week slow, thank you for the information. I have to try it, I still stay a a bit undecided with the options to set because I am not an expert on digital filming. What I have to set to go back to the latest original version if I need? But he has the version increment set, so I think maybe load the original firmware, set the increment to the next in the series and save. No other changes needed. However this would not be the 'original' firmware as the increment has changed. So maybe SOL if you send your camera in for warranty service. Hopefully later he can over ride the version check.
But as I said, I have not tried to go back yet. The only changes I made was to the video bit rate. I am now running at 40+ Mbps without any problems (Class 10 SDHC). I am thinking of trying a lower GOP. I use the camera a lot for video, so for me, the higher bit rate is a real plus. I also have heard that GoPro will have a firmware upgrade for the Hero2 that implements a 35Mbps bit rate. GodSpeaks wrote: Aleo Veuliah wrote: Yes a week slow, thank you for the information.
