Hi, i've ordered an un2420 Gobi 2000 for my TM2-1090. Everything worked fine in the beginning. I've used the aux wifi antenna as wwan main antenna and the reception was excellent. Then i wanted to use GPS and tried to delete all drivers and so on from Windows, but had no success. After 2 days of not using the laptop, i continued from sleep and found my HP Wireless Assistant not finding the WWAN.

I've got a T410 and a X201 that are running Windows XP Pro with a Qualcomm Gobi 2000 adapter and wonder if there is any other software that can be used instead of Access Connections? Have more satellites, but my navigation software only supports GPS till now.

Installing the driver wasn't possible anymore: 'Qualcomm Gobi 2000 device not found' error message popped up. As i wanted to reinstall Windows7 64-bit anyway, i did so. So fresh the hits of spring 2000 download. But still no Gobi2000. I tried other antennae for main & aux (the ones i used before the wifi-aux), still no success. Then i tried to find the PCI device in misc. Tools from my emergency boot disk, but have no clue what to search for (Vendor-ID, Device-ID and so on).

I also tried to use the newest BIOS, remove and reinstall the WWAN card - but no success. I can't (and don't want ) really believe that the card stops working from 1 day to another. Do you have any clue what else i might try or what i've overlooked? Weird, after updating to F.09 BIOS, I get an unknown device in my Device Manager, this being my WWAN card.

I'll let you know if I get it working. Edit: I got my Gobi card working again. I simply removed the battery, unplugged the computer and held the power button in the 'on' position for 30 Seconds. Let go, put in batter and power, and when I turned on the tm2, the drivers were all there. Here are some pics just for fun: 1.
