Gunze Touch Screen Driver Windows 7
I'm pleased to report that I've managed to hack Gunze's latest 64-bit drivers to get support and calibration for the touch panel on the UX in 64-bit Windows 7 (and presumably, Vista 64-bit). You can get the drivers here: I downloaded the because I noticed that it now supported 64-bit Windows Vista, but I found that the setup program wasn't detecting the touch panel in the UX. I also found out that manual installation through device manager failed with the message, 'A service installation section in the INF is invalid'. It turns out that Gunze had the source disks section marked 'x86'-only in the 64-bit INF, so Windows was understandably confused (even if the source disks section is almost completely useless for most modern day drivers). I fixed that in two of the INFs, and they installed, but required me to confirm unsigned driver installation. The second obstacle was that the installer and the INFs were written to accept only a single device ID -- USB Vid_0637&Pid_0004 -- but the device ID for the UX touch panel is USB Vid_0637&Pid_0003. I fixed-up the INFs, then used a hex editor on the setup program.
Windows 10 is installing a usb touchscreen driver for my Hp envy touchsmart laptop Hi, today my Windows 10 decided that my touchscreen is a usb touchscreen controller manufactured by egalax touch and installed a driver from Windows update.

After that, the installer worked like a charm and I was able to calibrate! What's interesting is that, at least on my system, driver signature enforcement (DSE) wasn't nearly as frustrating for 64-bit Windows 7 as it was for Windows Vista. Before installing the drivers, I booted Windows with the 'Disable driver signature enforcement' option (F8 before boot), then rebooted after install, and the drivers still loaded.
I hope others have the same luck I did! I would hate to have to run the system in test mode just to circumvent DSE. The downside is that I had to break the Gunze license agreement to provide this package, but. I e-mailed them after I found the fix to let them know about the error in the INFs, and told them that they should consider adding the UX touch panel device ID to the supported ID list.
Of course, I doubt they'll listen. NOTE: This package does not enable Table PC / 'inking' support. In Windows 7, you will still see the message 'No Pen or Touch Input is available for this Display' under System properties even after this package is installed, just like with 32-bit Windows Vista and the original Sony package. I am working on a better workaround for this than having to install the Wacom drivers (which just sit there doing nothing, but have the right info for Windows to think it's on a tablet).
I got a reply from Planar support regarding this model not working correctly with Windows 8. Does not resolve the issue but explains their position. Csi safe v14 keygen generator. 'Thank you for contacting Planar Online Support. As Windows 8 has not yet been officially released, we do not have official support for it. We have done some testing with the PX2230MW successfully, but I cannot speak to whether or not we will officially support it once Windows 8 launches. I would try checking Planar.com after launch to check for compatibility on any of our touch screens.
I don't see a reason why we wouldn't support it on most if not all our models after some time.' Acer sent me a T231H which works like it should - making on of the world's biggest tablets. The Acer T231H bmid LCD Monitor together with Windows 8 Consumer Preview puts a biggie-sized iPad on your desk Acer T231H 23' multi-touch monitor with Windows 8 Metro home screen (click for larger image) Photo NJN Network Windows 8 needs two things to be a hit on the desktop – a multi-touch monitor and touch pad.
Acer delivers the multi-touch experience with the T231H bmid. The monitor is stunning. At under $350 retail, it leads the pack of competitive monitors we have investigated.
The Acer T231H bmid is a 23″ Widescreen LCD display with native 1920 x 1080 resolution. The screen looks sharp and sports a 80,000:1 contrast ratio with 2ms response time. It is specified as touchscreen capable for Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit compatible. Something told me it should be plug compatible with Windows 8 Consumer Preview (Win8CP). Acer agreed and sent one a monitor for this review. Along with the unusual 23″ wide screen, the three legged support system struck me as unusual until I started using the touch feature. The wide third leg behind the monitor can take the push and touch without wobbling.
The widescreen is just perfect for watching movies. Hookup Connecting the monitor was simple – power cord, DVI, VGA or HDMI connection and USB cable (all supplied in the box). The USB cable sends the touch gestures to the Windows 7 or 8 operating system. There is a driver disk but we didn’t need it. As a precaution, the computer was off when connecting the Acer T231H. On boot up, Win8CP recognized the monitor and touch feature. Within a minute we had a 23″ ‘iPad’ on the desk.
