I had purchased a license key sometime back for a Buffalo linkstation. I entered it and it said it was for the wrong version. My question is, how should I buy a license key for DD-WRT Optware version? You need to go to twonkymedia.com and buy a Twonky Media Server license. It should be $15 or so. This is different than the Twonky Media Manager.
通过小熊在线团购买了个 Buffalo Linkstation Live. 官方固件 + Optware. 常用的几个命令 ipkg update ipkg upgrade ipkg install package.
Second layer world of rubber rarity. The version you want is here: It's on sale right now, so now's a good time to get a license. Once you have it, it's good for life, and you just get the TwonkyMedia that comes with Frater's script, and modify the S95twonky startup script in /opt/etc/init.d to include your new license key. Just add this line in the section with all the other parameters: cdkey=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.
Then it will be licensed every time. I'm assuming your firmware is one of the K2.4 builds? If it happens to be K2.6, the rest of us would like to know what you did to make Twonky work. Optware/automount seems to work fine on mine. Did this guy mess something up, and decide to post his fix to a problem that doesn't exist? Here's another data point.
On December 19th I installed optware from frater's ORW script on my USR5465. I am using the automount service and I never used Amaramrahul's 'fix'. Somewhere there's a command to show the installed packages, which I'll have to hunt down and run. I suspect it will show that 'util-linux-ng' and 'grep' are already installed by optware.
In fact, a version of grep is part of the 'regular' dd-wrt. While we're at it, these pages apparently duplicate the ORW wiki page instead of linking to it, which makes it harder to keep that info current: I don't see how ORW is so terribly different on these routers that it needs 3 hardware-specific pages in addition to the main ORW page. Just remove all that duplicated content, and place a link to the main ORW page. When running service on/off, it sets the execution permission, while service start/stop actually runs/kills the script, as long as it is executable.
